HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DEPARTMENT:

Since the inception of Government Degree College, Seethanagaram in the yera1983, the Department of Telugu has been imparting knowledge to students.

In addition to the curricular activities, the department has been engaging students in co-curricular activities such as Essay writing, Elocution, Quiz, Debate, singing, dancing, slogans, story telling, comedy, music etc. on the occasion of the Celebration of important events and extra curricular activities such as National Service Scheme NSS and Community Service Project (CSP).

The department has been occupied with efficient and experienced faculty with dedicated and determined minds.

At present, Dr. M. Sudhamayi took the responsibility as the In-charge of the department. She completed her M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, Rajahmundry and Minor Research Project ‘TIRUPATI VENKATA KAVULA MALIKALU - PRAGNA PARIMALAMULU’ from 2012-14 under UGC SERO. She has been engaged as Research Guide for 8 Research Scholars under Adikavi Nannaya University since 2017. She is the Chief Editor for the book ‘DALITA SAHITYAM - TATVIKA DRUKPATHAM’ with 140 essays, published under BHAVA VEENA, UGC Care Journal in October 2022 at Government College (A), Rajahmundry.

In addition, she is the coordinator for committees such as NSS, Anti-Raging, Disciplinary, Grievance Cell, NAAC (7^th Criteria) etc.and member in other committees of the college.
