BEST AND HEALTHY PRACTICES OF THE DEPARTMENT

  • Annual Curricular Plans with references and methodologies are prepared well in advance for every subject and made available for students in the Class Rooms.
  • Bridge Courses are conducted to bridge the gap between the political science and non political science students in first year for the subject Political Science.
  • The objective is to lay foundation on the subject and bring new ideas and thoughts in understanding the subject easily.
  • Mock viva is conducted for the students to prepare them for their final examination.
  • Students are taken to Filed Visits to interpret the curriculum practically.
  • Students are given Assignments throughout the academic year to enable them to get thorough knowledge in the subjects.
  • In the process of continuous evaluation students take up seminars on
  • Curriculum subjects & also on the topics of the subjects incorporating day to day development.
  • Students are encouraged to become members of political scienceclub which is established with the objectives of developing leadership qualities
  • and event management skills in the students and is active in conducting various events like management Quiz, group discussions, presentations etc.
  • Internet based projects are given to the students as part of their lab record work for better understanding of theory subjects
  • Guest Lectures by subject experts like Academicians and Competitive Exam’s Faculty for better understanding of subjects.
  • Career Counseling is conducted for I year students every year so as to make  them  set  their  goals  and  keep  them  focused  in  the  right direction.
  •   These orientations not only bring knowledge in students mind but also inculcate morals and give a vision and mission of his/her future.
  • Regular curricular and attitude building Extension Lectures by eminent personalities
  • As a part of Mentoring class in charges are allotted to every class who take up the responsibility of Academic Counselingand Personal Counselingapart from the regular counseling.
  • Each student's track of attendance percentage is maintained.
  • Literacy and cultural competitions are conducted where students can exhibit their skill & creativity.
  • Workshops for the faculty and students.
  • Awards are given on college day for academic excellence like class topper award/Best outgoing student award.
  • Our students are part of NSS where the Idea is to awaken the social consciousness for community service with the motto "Not me but You".
  • The former students are invited to the college annually for the Alumni get together to share their expertise and information.

COLLABORATION

The department has MoU with Grampanchayat, Seethanagaram, East Godavari District, AP.

EXTENSION ACTIVITIES

The students and the faculty members of the political sciencedepartment actively participated in all Extension activities like Blood donation
programmes, clean and green, AIDS awareness programmes, Consumer awareness programmes, Ground leveling, Plantation, and Plastic free awareness Programmes.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

The department consistsa faculty member and who attend to orientation and refresher courses, seminars organized by various economic bodies to keep themselves abreast of the latest development in the subjects.

Our H.O.D attended 5 day Faculty Development Programme through online conducted by Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, AP from 03.08.2020 to 07.08.2020.
