Chemistry - Profile

INTRODUCTION:

          The Department of Chemistry started its functioning with the introduction of  B.Sc. ( two groups ie., MPC & BZC) in 2016 with sanctioned intake of 30 seats. The department has one lab and e-class room.

          The Department has one sanctioned post. Presently department is serving to BZC (II & III year) and I year Maths (Major) & Zoology (Major) students. 

To motivate the students for their future career in the industry, our department organizes industrial visits. Taking the advantage of vicinity of industrial area, we also organize campus interviews in collaboration with J.K.C. for our students so as to get absorbed in chemical & pharmaceutical companies after completion of B. Sc.

OBJECTIVES:

• To provide advanced knowledge and practical experience in chemistry.
• To develop students employable skills for job opportunities in the fields related to Chemical Sciences.

SPECIFIC OUTCOMES:

• Operate modern analytical instruments.
• Identify industrial problems related to chemistry and find solutions for them.
• Be able to work in quality control or analytical laboratories.
• Organize and manage effectively science laboratories.
• Chemistry underpins understanding and progress in almost every sphere of science, technology and industry.
• It also makes a vital contribution to the economy, commerce and industry.
